Then, arrange all the tools needed. Find the battery's hole, and turn it open using a flathead, coin, or another similar tool. After that, carefully remove the battery by lifting the side closest to the hook for the key-ring. Wear rubber gloves to shield the clips and electronic contact surfaces.

After the battery is removed, place the new one in its socket. Make sure that the positive end of the battery is facing upwards, and that all clips are secured. Then, slide the cover back downwards and towards the key-ring loop until it is loose and falls off. Remove the cover to reveal the hidden mechanical key blade.
