The 'Minecraft Earth' Beta is Set to Launch its Global Takeover This Month

It's been about two months since we first heard about Minecraft Earth, the augmented virtual reality version of Mojang's game that lets you experience the real world a playscape packed with your blocksy creations. The company promised that a beta version of the game this summer , and now it's out, along with a brand new trailer, the company claims it will launch on iOS within the next two weeks with Android following "soon afterward."

After seeing live gameplay at WWDC last month, the launch of iOS-first shouldn't be too surprising. While the new trailer offers lots of details on how you can play the game, curious players might want to go back to the Apple demo to get more experience of the experience to share an online Minecraft world with their friends. The virtual world will overlay the real one.

You will need to sign up here for the game for free. According to the FAQ, your device must be running iOS 10 or Android 7. Kd76 Access to the game is limited while they work out the load on the servers of the game, however you'll need to be active in the game.
