Apple Arcade Finally Releases Fantasian and Wonderbox

Apple Arcade celebrated a huge Friday. The gaming service that costs $5 per month launched Fantasian, a brand new RPG by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sachaguchi and Mistwalker as well as Wonderbox The Adventure Maker from Aquiris. Both games were announced at Apple Arcade's launch in September. The platform also included NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition. In addition the service also unveiled 30 titles that are available today.

Both Wonderbox and Fantasian launched in select countries just before reaching the US for Apple Arcade subscribers. Sakaguchi tweeted that Fantasian will launch on the same date with Final Fantasy VI 27-years ago. Final Fantasy VI was an inspiration for Fantasian, Sakaguchi told CNET.

Fantasian RPG legend Sakaguchi has kept players fed over the last few years with updates on the development of Fantasian, screenshots, concept artwork and more on his social media page. In January, Sakaguchi and Mistwalker began dropping hints that the new mobile RPG game was set to be launched this year.

Fantasian's story focuses on Leo the protagonist, a young man who lost his memory following an explosion at the hybrid magic-tech manufacturing facility. Minecraft servers list Leo wakes up in an environment controlled by machines and is determined to find his father. He has one clue: a recurring vision of a young girl. Leo meets Kina, the woman whom he had hoped to meet when he arrives in En, a dusty frontier village.

The duo embark on a journey to recover Leo's memories and discover their destinies. As Leo's past unravels along with other mysteries in this multi-dimensional adventure the balance between order and chaos is becoming more difficult to maintain.

Fantasian features more than 150 hand-crafted dioramas that form the game's world as well as a stunning soundtrack composed by legendary Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.

Wonderbox: The Adventure Maker Brazilian gaming studio Aquiris' Wonderbox. The Adventure Maker was previously known as the Box Project, joined Apple Arcade's extensive games catalog on Friday. Wonderbox is an 3D adventure game that lets you explore an endless world via "boxes" and portals. If you're a fan Minecraft or Monument Valley, this is definitely a game you should check out.

Simple swipe and tap mechanics make it easy to use the controls. Straight away, you'll meet the village matriarch who has tasked you with finding the Heart of Adventure to restore the landscape. When you travel through portals and visit various boxes like floating islands, you can swipe across the screen to rotate the area, alter your view angle, and fully explore.

In Wonderbox you can play in campaigns that give you a range of adventures for gamers. an exploration mode in which you search for an adventure, or a multiplayer mode where you can host or participate in a party with up to four friends. You can also choose to Create and build your adventure. You can add more adventures to the game.

Defeat enemies, collect coins, solve puzzles, build new environments and more in this brand new and exciting adventure game.

Apple Arcade joined mobile gaming in the year 2019, and has since added more than 180 games, with more added every day. These games are available on iPhone, iPad, Mac or iPod Touch, as well as Apple TV.
