Online Game Final Fantasy: Players Take Part in The Funeral Procession

After one of their players was killed by coronavirus, hundreds of players took part in the Final Fantasy funeral procession.

Friends of the character referred to as Ferne Le'roy organised the funeral after his human counterpart died from the virus.

Following an exchange on Reddit, Ferne's Final Fantasy group decided to honor the player with mourners gathering in the desert city of Ul'dah on the game's Zalera server.

Final Fantasy is a Japanese science fiction series that focuses on a series role-playing videogames. It is among the most popular video-game franchises in the industry.

Ferne's player, Poppy Rose, was also present to join the players on the Coeur server.

The group, which appeared to have been in the hundreds, was attired in black, appropriate for funerals.

Ferne's Final Fantasy group decided that the player should be honored following an Reddit discussion. There were mourners who were gathered in the desert city of Ul'dah on Zalera's Zalera server.

The procession began in the middle of the night and travelled across many landscapes as the sun rose including the forests of the Central Shroud to the north. Minecraft Servers The journey lasted about half an hour.

The procession concluded under the Guardian Tree the most sacred place in the woods.

The Twitter community of the game took to social media to voice their dismay at the number of people who joined the procession.

One wrote: "The #FFXIV community never ever ceases to amaze me. This memorial service was a huge success due to the large turnout. My view could not handle the sheer number of people! May the player who died rest in peace. My condolences go out to everyone who were involved. Be safe, everybody!

The group was believed to be in the hundreds, was attired only in dark, funeral-appropriate attire.

Another participant stated, "This was my first experience like this." There were people attending that filled up three zones of the base game which are large in general. A lot of people attended to offer their condolences to fellow adventurers, their family and friends.'

The Final Fantasy funeral procession comes about a month after an assemblage of Japanese school children held their graduation ceremony in Minecraft after concerns about coronavirus caused the cancellation of the on-campus ceremony.
